This week, I listened to A Little Taste by Tia Louise while I used Braided Coral nail wraps by Lovely Hello.
Lovely Hello is a new site that I’m using for nail wraps. So far, I’m impressed. The wraps are pretty durable and there’s a huge selection.
A Little Taste
Narration Review:
Dual Narration
Troy Duran- I squeed myself when I first heard his voice. Troy is one of the best Romance narrators I’ve ever listened to. His voice is delightfully deep and always clear and easy to understand. And he’s good at the female voices, too. His voice acting is always excellent. And the hot scenes! swoon. I could happily listen to him reading the dictionary aloud.
Samantha Brentmoor- I had never listened to one of her audiobooks before, and I can honestly say that she holds her own with Troy. Her performance was amazing, particularly when she was in the child’s voice- for a hot second I thought that they had brought in a kid to do those. I straight up love her voice and I’m going to be checking out her Audible backlist.
Story Review:
MMC/FMC- Aiden and Brit
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Contemporary Romance
Sub Genre- has elements of suspense and mystery
Heat- HOLY HOTNESS! 🌋🌋🌋🌋☄️! (One 🌋=two ☄️). The sexual tension is exquisite and the scenes themselves almost melted my Kindle.
Series? Y
Safety: Y. There’s no cheating, no S. Violence, no sharing, no OW/OM drama, no cliffhanger, and a HEA.
Triggers- Violence, Language, Kidnapping, Murder, Explicit Erotic Content, Damage to Cucumbers.
Tropes- Single Dad, Adorable Moppet, Adorable Dog, You Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog, Workplace Romance, Second Chance.
What I liked- I loved this book. There were light moments, intense moments, suspenseful moments, a touch of mystery, blazing hot zexytime scenes, and a kid and a dog who were even cuter together. And the friendship between the three women was wonderful and passed the Bechdel Test.
What I didn’t- her mother for most of the book made me angry, which is actually a good thing, because it means I got really into the story.
Verdict- I highly recommend this audiobook.
