I checked my Goodreads stats this morning and I am happy to say that I’m one of the top 100 reviewers in both the U.S. and in the world. I’m #36 in the U.S. and I’m #65 in the world! Which tells me that I have waaay too much time on my hands because I have done over 1000 reviews in the past year. Still, was exciting to see my name up there on the website.
Yesterday, a nearby library book sale opened. They set up all week and then have the sale the next week. They had almost 200 people buying yesterday and made $12,000. Not bad for a small town sale! I drove over and found a few treasures. Not gonna lie, most of my book purchases are on Kindle because I have a small apartment and I just don’t have the space for physical books. But I found the Rosetta language learning program for Spanish, which is a language I have always wanted to learn. And I found two seasons of Drunk History on DVD, plus some books for my niece who is in the first grade. She’s becoming quite the reader! She makes me proud. All of the niephews make me proud.
This afternoon a friend and I are going to see CLUE, a play at a college about an hour or so away. One of our college friends is directing. I love the movie- it’s one of my all-time top ten- so I’m sure I’ll enjoy watching the play. What are you doing with your weekend?
Congratulations! Your work is amazing, and I'm always impressed that you can have such high quality reviews with that many books. All the accolades are belong to you!
